WWD Hospice Palliative Care Conference 2007

The Waterloo Wellington Dufferin Palliative Care Conference 2007 was held on June 5th and 6th, 2007 at the Guelph Holiday Inn on Scottsdale. There were approximately 290 participants in the 2 day event. Jayne Harvey, as our keynote speaker, provided an enriching educational experience complemented by eight breakout education sessions led by experts from various disciplines. The participants included physicians, nurses, personal support workers, volunteers, therapists, spiritual care providers, child care providers and social workers.

Comments for the participants included “The presenters were open, forthright and honest about the approach to collaborative care.” ”Great mix of people – all with a common passion.”
